IRON HARVEST GRAPHICS CARD FREE
I bought Iron Harvest knowing it had fps issues in it's open beta and free weekend events, and while I was hoping those would be ironed out by now, the point is I made an informed decision before opening my wallet, unlike you. And I have 2 of those games and their DLCs in my library and I'm more than happy to replay them instead of spending any more money.

Why? Because I know it's essentially Company of Heroes with a better story and universe, but little else. I think it's a good game, and while I'm painfully aware of it's technical shortcomings, I did in fact, categorize it as a 20$ game at best (given our eastern european income, that's already considered spending what I'd spend on food for a week), and I'm fine with waiting for deep sales or even Humble Choice packages from where I got Iron Harvest in the end. I love this game, and it made me want to buy Scythe as a physical board game for which I'll be forever thankful. Don't preorder anything, and don't put blind faith in any studio. And the loss of 60 bucks Well that's unresponsible consumer behaviour for you. I just hurts sometimes how much wasted potential this had. Originally posted by David / Waveshaper:Honestly at this point I'd just recommend you cutting your losses and move on with your life because at this rate you'll be leaving salty hateful hopeless negative comments on this game even when you are retired and it's beyond pathetic at this point, it's the "I truly feel sorry for your state of mind and with the best intentions I highly recommend you to shut up and leave, because it's the best course of action for all of us, but mostly you".ĭidnt mean to be salty, but yeah youre right. Now I set it back to a lower resolution just to be safe the game continues to run well and the black stripes properly appeared.
IRON HARVEST GRAPHICS CARD FULL
After this, I set it to full HD, which (hold onto your chairs) made the black stripes appear (this is a standard 16:9 TV, so it's squite strange) despite the full HD resolution perfectly matching the screen ratio, AND it run well. Even more interestingly, now that I set the game to this lower resolution in the main menu and loaded up a campaign mission, the game used the full screen again, but with the lower resolution and without stripes, so the whole image was stretched a little to the left and right.

I increased it to full HD, then lowered it back with one step, and the black stripes appeared and performance jumped up to 60.

However, when I launched the game the next day, the stripes were not there and the game ran as if it was in "fullscreen" / entire screen, but STILL showing the smaller resolution in settings AND it had the same poor performance full HD has. Using this lower resolution puts a black stripe on the left and right side of the screen. Now the game launches in a lower resolution for me (one step below 1920x1080), as I previously discovered using lower resolution with otherwise max settings skyrockets performance to 55-60. Not fullscreen as a setting, borderless window is equally poor, but the "entire" screen. Originally posted by David / Waveshaper:Some more experience sharing: there is something about using fullscreen that makes the game perform poorly.
